At just 15, Paris Jackson has seemed relatively grounded despite the media circus that has surrounded her for much of her life.
So the news breaking today that she was rushed to hospital in the hours of Wednesday after an apparent suicide bid, has sent shock waves throughout the entertainment world.
Scott Miller of the Los Angeles County Fire Department tells People Magazine that paramedics responded to a 911 call at 1.27am “regarding a possible overdose’ “while TMZ reports a source as saying the teenager had cut herself multiple times on one of her wrists.
While Insiders told Entertainment Tonight Paris was upset because she was not allowed to go to a Marilyn Manson concert in Los Angeles on Thursday, we think her grandmother Katherine summed it up the best — there is an intense amount of pressure on this teen.
“She’s suffered with the loss of her father,’ Katherine’s lawyer told the New York Daily News “‘But we don’t know what she was exposed to that precipitated this.”
The current court case being brought by the Jackson family against AEG (the concert promoters behind her father Michael’s doomed tour) could be what has pushed her over the edge.
Not only has she been listed as potential witness, but it is also bringing up memories of the father she adored.
“I have lots of memories of my father,” Paris recently said.
“He was an incredible father. We all loved him to death.”
Paris also revealed that she also plans to pay tribute to her father by having the words of a loving note he wrote her tattooed on her wrist when she is old enough.
Around midnight, Paris posted a series of unsettling messages on Twitter.
“Yesterday, all my troubles seem so far away, now it looks as though they’re here to stay.”
An hour previously, she posted:”‘I wonder why tears are salty.”
